Let’s talk eating and running

After my long bike ride didn’t pan out on Saturday, I got the idea in my head that I should get my tail to the hotel gym to go for a run. Easier said than done. I was a procrastination champion doing anything and everything else that I could think of before grudgingly submitting to a late-night workout.

One of these activities included more salad(!), veggies, and kimchi over rice.

Chris is so stoked that I am getting my fill of kimchi without him. He has traumatic kimchi related childhood memories and cringes at the mention of it. I am officially over kimchi for a while now, but we’ll get into that later.

Yes please! I managed to leave the store with only 2 oz. of candy, which I am pretty impressed with. I typically lack any hint of self control when faced with candy stores, buffets, or any other opportunity for overindulgence.

Great, so let’s talk more about that run. Somehow I eked out 5.25 miles, but it was horrible. Duh. All of the runners reading this could have told me that before I even laid eyes on my Korean feast or my candy dessert.

A few weeks back I had a rough run after eating pad thai for breakfast. Most people would learn from that, apparently I’m not one of them. Although this seems to have curbed kimchi cravings, it has done nothing to inhibit my desire to go in the candy store.

Go figure. Anyway, I’m pretty proud of myself for persevering and making it through my run!

    I love pad Thai, but don’t think I could run after eating it for breakfast. 🙂

    LOVE the candy store pic! 2 Oz. Candy is pretty dang good.

      I am still really impressed with myself for only getting 2 oz. of candy. Since it was a bunch of small pieces, it seemed like I had decent amount of candy to eat too!
