I had a lot of rest days, huh? I’ll work on that!
This week I discovered that I am stronger than I thought I was. I may need to abandon New Rules for a few weeks until I can get adequate weights. I thought I had heavy enough weights to last me for at least a few months on the program, but no such luck. (Or maybe I’m lucky that I’m so strong?)
I have been shopping around for weights and I think that I found the right ones for me, now I need to get Chris onboard with the idea enough to help me go pick them up. I guess I could do it myself, but the thought of lugging them to the car, into the car, and then into the house by myself doesn’t sound all that appealing.
In the meantime, I will do New Rules with increasing reps of the heaviest weights that I have. Yeah, exactly the opposite of the point of the program. I may go back to Week 3 and repeat from there after I have heavier weights.

- Tuesday: 47 minute trainer ride – cadence
- Wednesday: 46 minute trainer ride – slow burn, NROLFW Workout 1A3
- Thursday: 52 minute trainer ride – cadence
- Friday: rest
- Saturday: rest
