Run: July 19 – 24
I did not exactly hit my target mileage for the week, but that’s ok. It was one of those weeks where I was just trying to keep my head above water. I did pretty well to get as many runs in as I did!
I’m also happy to say that I was not a particularly lazy runner. Even my lazy run was at a 10:00 pace, I had been letting them drift up towards 11:00, which is totally unnecessary. I decided that if I am too exhausted to keep the treadmill at or above 6.0, then I should be taking a rest day.
I still need to get new shoes, but I just haven’t had time. The drive is almost two hours round trip, it will be tough to fit in, but I will try to swing it this week!
- Sunday: rest
- Monday: 6 miles (9:51, 9:36, 9:22, 9:14, 9:06, 10:00), upper body weights, core
- Tuesday: 6 miles @ 10:00
- Wednesday: full body weights, no run
- Thursday: 6 miles (9:46, 9:35, 9:30, 9:15, 9:18, 8:52)
- Friday: rest
- Saturday: 7.34 miles (10:03, 9:09, 9:20, 9:13, 9:45, 10:15, 10:08, 8:08 pace for last 0.34)
Total Weekly Miles: 25.34
Total July Miles: 88.64
Total Yearly Miles: 790.14
Miles on Current Shoes: 400.75
25 miles in a week looks pretty great to me! Good job, even if it wasn’t what you were shooting for! sometimes life just gets in the way!
What kind of shoes do you wear?
I have Mizuno Wave Creation 11’s. I like to get them from my “local” running store because they give a 10% discount. I haven’t seen them on sale online yet. I may try out different shoes next time if they have any others that fit well.
