- Tuesday: swim ~ 1 hour
- 200 m warm-up
- 8 x [50 m breast, 50 m free, 50 m back, 50 m free]
- 100 m free
- 50 m breast
- 2 x 25 m side kicks
- 100 m cool down
- Wednesday:
- This workout did not go anything like my plan. It may have had to do with the heat, humidity, lack of any type of breeze, or my body’s complete refusal to cool itself effectively. Basically, I felt like I was dying of heat exhaustion before I even had my shoes tied. Ok, drama queen here, but I seriously felt really bad the whole time.
- The plan: 6 miles – 2 miles easy, 3 miles @ 8:20, 1 mile easy
- Actual: 5.26 miles – was very difficult to maintain my 11:04 pace
- The weather: 84 degrees, 70% humidity, stale stagnant air <– felt like breathing water
- I am trying not to get down on myself about this one. As I mentioned in my Geist Half Marathon Race Report, I knew that it would take a few really rough runs to get acclimated to the warmer weather.
- Thursday: swim ~ 1 hour, same as Tuesday
- Friday: rest
- Saturday: rest
Total Weekly Miles: 10.26
Total June Miles: 10.26

Ugh, I have felt that way on runs before…the weather just beats you down sometimes. 😦
