* I am really excited about this little run. I had been in a funk for a few weeks. My right foot had gnarly blisters all over it and my head just wasn’t in the game. On Wednesday night I got new shoes and that seems to have done the trick! I can tell that they are not causing or worsening any blisters. Additionally, I was stoked that the last mile of my 3.1 mile “test” 5K was at a 7:40 pace. I don’t think I have ever run a 7:40 mile in my adult life. **Pats self on back.**
It’s amazing what a new pair of running shoes can do! When I get new shoes, I am so motivated and end up having a great run.
I think it’s time I get a pair myself!
I am totally impressed by your YTD mileage too!
The new shoes made quite a difference. Hopefully they’ll help me keep my head in the game and do well at my half this weekend!
